I loved Artspace 111. We just got married on June 18th, and it was not only beautiful, but extremely fun. We had the ceremony outside, and the trees were incredible to offer a little shade and the natural feel. The sculptures in the sculpture garden were also such an incredible addition, that there wasn’t much need for ceremony decor. The food and bar and some lounge areas were placed inside in the gallery, and there was plenty of space without leaving it feeling empty. The art on the walls, and the gallery feel were exactly what I was looking for. I studied art in school and teach art now, and it just felt perfect to be surrounded but art on that special day. The terrace garden has just been redone, and this is where we placed our dancefloor and the dj, as well as the guest tables. We also used the columns with toppers as extra cocktail tables, and there was still so much room to move around. The owner, Margery, and one of her associates, Margo, stayed with us all day and helped…. They were so supportive and never acted frustrated or annoyed. After the wedding, I had so many of our friends tell us that it was the coolest and most fun wedding they had ever been too. The location allowed me to get exactly the feel I wanted…which was fun,relaxed, and not stiff or overly formal. I loved this location, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cool, unique location, that is off the beaten path. It was also great to be able to hold both ceremony and reception at the same location. It made it so much cheaper and easier and definitely more convenient for the guests.
